A Roaring Success: Recapping Our First "Bet On Inclusion" Casino Night!
On March 7th, the Grand Haven Eagles was transformed. The modern world faded away, replaced by the glitz, glamour, and mystery of a 1920s speakeasy. Feathers, fedoras, and fringe were in high fashion as our community gathered for a high-stakes cause: the first-ever Bet On Inclusion casino night fundraiser.
We are thrilled to share that our inaugural event was a "jackpot" success, raising vital funds to support Kenzie’s Be Café and our mission of providing meaningful employment for people with disabilities.
A Night at the Speakeasy
The atmosphere was electric from the moment the "secret" doors opened. With live music setting the mood, guests tried their luck at professional-grade tables. Whether it was the intense focus at the poker and blackjack tables or the high energy surrounding roulette and craps, the "casino floor" was buzzing all night long.
The 1920s theme was truly brought to life by our attendees. Seeing so many of you dressed in your finest vintage attire added an extra layer of magic to the evening.
While the gaming tables kept the energy high, the heart of the night was found in the incredible generosity of our local community, including an online live auction, raffle, and live music.
To Our Supporters: You Made the Difference
As our first time hosting an event of this scale, we weren't quite sure what to expect—but you showed up in a big way!
This night wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors, the local businesses that donated auction items, and, of course, every single person who bought a ticket and placed a bet on inclusion. Your contributions directly impact the lives of our BeRistas, providing them with the tools, training, and opportunities they deserve.
Looking Ahead to 2027
The cards have been dealt, and the results are clear: we can't wait to do this again! We are already looking forward to bringing Bet On Inclusion back in 2027.
Keep an eye on our social media and this blog for future updates. Until then, thank you for being a part of our story and for proving that when we bet on inclusion, everyone wins.
